Opening & Closing Your Pool

Perhaps the two most important things you'll do at the beginning and end of the pool season, opening and closing your pool properly, is key to getting off to a great start in the spring and ensuring no unwanted surprises are waiting for you the following year.  In addition to tips on draining your pool cover (if you have one) and maknig sure the pump, filter and skimmer are working properly, you'll get full details on the chemistry needed to properly open your pool in the spring. Additionally, instructions for checking the water balance, general housekeeping, correct chemistry additions and disconnecting the AD unit (for the BAQUACIL™ AD Pool Care System) are all covered in the winterizing, or closing, instructions for both systems.
